About the Author Professor Frithjof Bergmann is Professor Emeritus of Philosophy at the University of Michigan, where he spent most of his academic career. Bergmann is a Nietzsche scholar, teacher and political activist, and he is the director of the Center for New Work. He lives in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
